Science Faculty Research and Innovation Mobility Fund

Dear Colleagues
A Research and Innovation Mobility Fund of £6,000 has been made available by the Dean to support colleagues needing to undertake travel at short notice relating to developing grant applications, developing research and innovation collaborations etc. Funding is only available for travel expenses and any claims must be receipted.
All applications should be made by email to Dr Alan Thorne and Ms Karen Musk: these should state exactly the purpose of the trip, why the trip is required and what the anticipated outcomes of the trip will be. The email must also be copied to the HOD and include a statement to indicate why funds are not available from Departmental and/or existing grant budgets.
Decisions will be communicated within 48 hours of receipt (unless over a weekend). The use of this Research and Innovation Mobility Fund will be monitored for a year, and a decision will then be taken regarding continuation beyond this.
Kind regards,
Karen and Alan
