Athena Swan For All - Conference, University of Portsmouth

Date: 27 April 2016
Time: 1.20pm
Venue: Eldon Building

The theme for the fourth University of Portsmouth Athena Swan Conference will be 'Athena SWAN for All'. With a focus on the extension of the current Athena principles in 2016 to include support for both genders and transgender staff/students across all academic and support areas, the conference will be of value to a wide audience across the University.
We are pleased to announce that our keynote speaker is Tom Welton, Professor of Sustainable Chemistry at Imperial College, London. Chemistry at Imperial was recently awarded the Athena Swan Gold Award. His talk, ‘Going for Gold: Just the beginning’, will describe how he helped create a culture within his department which reflects his own deeply held belief in and drive for inclusivity and that the Award is the beginning and not the end of the journey.
You are encouraged to save the date and booking will open early in 2016.
